Gold Chips are part of the Cake Pokernetwork loyalty program and Cake’s version of ‘frequent player points’. By earning Gold Chips through frequent play at our real money ring games and tournaments, you’ll gain access to a selection of guaranteed tournaments and satellite events. Gold Chips are the only currency for buying in to these select events!

All Gold Chip events are listed under the Gold Tab within Tournaments. You’ll find a daily selection of satellites to our $75,000 and $150,000 Guarantees as well as all our live event direct qualifiers.

For players who love Gold Chips, Gold Chip Lover Sit & Go tournaments offer Gold Chip buy-ins. As all players buy in using Gold Chips, the prize pool will allow you to win even more Cake Rewards for use in our large Gold Chip tournaments or for redemption for Cake logo gear and other Cake Shop items!

Gold Chip tournaments run daily under our Gold tab with buy-ins starting at only 2 Gold Chips.

Cake Poker introduces the Gold Chip rewards program. This unique program is designed to generously reward you for your frequent play.

How do I earn Gold Chips?
When you play at real money games or pay tournament fees, you will earn Frequent Player Points (FPP). As you accumulate FPPs, you begin to fill in your Gold Chip Meter.

Once your Gold Chip Meter is full, you will receive the Gold Chip that is viewed here to the right of the meter

Once you earn a Gold Chip, it is yours to keep. Redeem it whenever you’d like or save it and collect more.

What do I do with my Gold Chip?
Every week you can redeem your Gold Chip for a shot at our Weekly Gold Chip Giveaways. These tournaments may change from week to week (Limit Omaha one week, NL Hold’em the next). Since your Gold Chips do not expire, you are free to use whenever you wish.

Every week you can redeem your Gold Chips for a shot at our Weekly Chip Buy-in Giveaway. These tournaments may change from week to week (Limit Omaha one week, NL Hold’em the next). Since your Gold Chips do not expire, you are free to use whenever you wish.

The Gold Chip Meter Changed. Why?
Once you’ve earned your first Gold Chip, you’ll notice the white Target Bar shrink smaller.

Target Bar Before 1st Chip Target Bar After 1st ChipThis means that you can now earn your next Gold Chip with less FPP. In fact, if you earn 3 more Gold Chips before the end of the calendar month, you’ll notice a big change to your Gold Chip Meter.

5th Gold Chip Bonus
Up until the end of the calendar month, if you earn a 5th Gold Chip, you’ll also earn a bonus Gold Chip. You can earn this bonus Gold Chip once each month.

6+ Gold Chips
For the rest of the calendar month, you’ll be able to earn as many Gold Chips as you’d like at the lowest Target Bar setting possible (the 5th Gold Chip target amount).

The Bonus Amount will automatically be added to your Pending Bonus account where it will be held and automatically released to your cash account based on the following requirements: For each raked hand (minimum rake of $0.50) you play and reach the flop, you will receive 1 point. You will also receive 1 point for each $1 of tournament buy-in fee. Please note that the tournament fee is now collected as 9% of the total of the prize pool and that pending points will be based on the fee collected, rounded up to the closest whole number. Earn Real Money Faster

At 30 points, $5 will be transferred from your Pending Bonus account to your cash account. Money in your pending account will expire 60 days from the time it was awarded unless it has been transferred to your real money account by meeting the hands played requirements. You can view your point total and bonus amounts at the Cashier. You will continue to earn points until you have received 100% of your bonus money.
